Classes held in Gabriele's studio are limited space, and first come first served. There is a waiting list for most classes. Prepayment is required and if the classes do not meet minimum enrollment, the class will be canceled. Students who sign up for more than one class, may recieve a $5 discount on the second class. Students in this class are more experienced and will be doing more challenging and larger paintings. One day, or Week long workshops.. Watercolor Techniques One day $55 Saturday Sept 4th All Day 9 am-3 pm sign up now!!! This class is for the student who wishes to be exposed to watercolor techniques in preparation to join the weekly classes usually offered in the studio. This is a sort of wet your whistle watercolor experience. Techniques covered: Wet into wet, flat wash, graded wash, stacking washes, sponging splattering dry brush and resist. As many techniques will be covered as time will allow. Be prepared to work hard this day. Bring a lunch. Coffee will be provided. It is recommended that your color studies are done on good quality paper for the best results. In this class we will be doing color mixing to explore what different color combinations will bring and color theory, primary, secondary, complementary colors etc. Paints, brushes, and paper are available for purchase. At the end of the day you will have pages of studies to make a booklet out of for future reference. Bring a lunch. Coffee will be provided and be prepared to work your tail off this day.. Thursday All day workshop call if interested...future booking.. 9 am- 4 pm Lunch break if you chose to stop painting Class fee $65 If you decide to bring extra wine or your favorite alcoholic beverage, please plan on depositing your keys and arrange for a ride home. Bring your paints, or drawing tools: watercolor, oil, or pastel and work from a still life set up..Students will compose Still life set ups in both studios.. Each student will bring items to use in the various still life set ups so that they can compose something that speaks to them. There will be fresh flowers and various items as well in the studio. This is a one day, all day workshop. The goal isn't to finish a painting, although that would be great, but to learn the process of setting up, organizing, designing and painting from life. This is a great time to give it a go and push yourself to try to finish that painting before you go home. Students are encouraged to bring cameras to shoot the various still lifes set ups for future reference. The usual workspaces will be for the still life set ups, therefore students must bring their own stand up easels. I do have some here in the studio, but not enough for all. There is limited space, so sign up quickly. Your check is your place holder. I do not cash the checks until after the workshop is concluded. This will be a blast, so sign up quickly.
